Accent Capital Partners does more than invest capital. Because of our extensive experience as operating executives, we get involved, working with existing management to assess and harvest strategic opportunities and resolve critical issues.

This approach is more than a matter of style. In looking for business investment opportunities, we assess opportunities based on changes we know will work. Not only is our active involvement essential to exploiting the opportunity, we must have agreement with management on the need for change: to think and act bigger—or smaller—but always differently.

Of course not every company is right for us, or we for them. That’s why we ask you to review our investment focus and our investment criteria. But in the same way a business transition involves more than money, a deal involves more than due diligence. A deal involves chemistry.

So, we take the time to get to know you and your company.

A typical process may look like this:

In our initial meeting, we clarify expectations and rough out the kind of working relationship that seems appropriate to your business. If we’ve not already seen your business plan, we review it, prepared to give you feedback at our second meeting.

At our second meeting, we’ll be specific as to how we see the fit and what we would propose as an operating and financing agreement. If there’s mutual interest and trust, we draft a term sheet. Once you’ve reviewed our draft and made any changes, we negotiate terms. Upon agreement, we prepare legal documents and close funding. Once funding is available, we work together to implement the plans laid out in the business plan.
